About the field guide

Who puts this field guide together, and how every figure gets checked

The Mzansi Field Guide is a small, independent publication for South African readers who want to understand an online casino before they hand it any rand. It is built around one casino, Springbok, and it is not Springbok: we run no games, hold no player accounts and see nobody's balance.

Last checked 9 October 2026Independent guide, not Springbok

A guide, not a casino

Everything on this site is reading and arithmetic. We read Springbok's public pages, its terms and its game lobby, write down what they say and the date we read them, and lay it out in rand so that a first-time player can follow it. When the page you need is about your own account, a stuck withdrawal or a bonus that did not credit, only Springbok's support team can help; the contact page lists its channels.

We also earn money when readers join Springbok through our links. How that works, and what it is not allowed to change, is set out in the affiliate disclosure.

How a fact reaches the page

  1. Read the primary page

Terms and conditions (currently version 1.6, dated 4 March 2026), the promotions page, the banking page, the withdrawal authorisation page and the live lobby. Blog articles and press releases are read too, but only ever quoted as Springbok's own claims.

  2. Record the source and the date

Each figure goes into one shared register with the address it came from and the day it was read. Pages pull their numbers from that register, so a changed limit is corrected everywhere at once instead of page by page.

  3. Label how sure we are

A figure from the terms, banking page or lobby is marked as verified. One that appears only in marketing copy says 'Springbok says'. Where two Springbok pages disagree, both figures are shown side by side and neither is quietly picked.

  4. Re-read the moving parts

Monthly codes and campaigns change early in each month, so promotions are re-read on a short cycle and dated offers switch themselves off after their end date. Every page shows when it was last checked.

What this guide will not claim

  • Ratings, scores, stars or a 'top ten'. The checklist gives answers, never a total.
  • Stories of our own wins or withdrawals. Our method is reading published terms, and we never claim to have played.
  • Jackpot amounts, winner names or 'players online' counters. They change by the minute and cannot be sourced.
  • Testimonials, reviews from readers or quotes from people we cannot name.
  • That a payout will arrive by a certain day. We repeat the processing rules Springbok publishes, and where its pages differ we say so.

Why you will not find bylines

The field guide is written and edited as one publication, and it speaks as one. There are no invented writer profiles, expert titles or headshots here. If a page is wrong, the publication is answerable for it: send the correction to hello@casino-springbok.com and the page is fixed and re-dated once the source confirms it.
